Can anyone who enjoys dark fantasy novels give this story a read and share your impressions of the story? If you don't have an account and don't want to create one, you can leave commentary in response here. The story is only 7 chapters to date and each chapter is pretty short.
Synopsis: This description actually does pique my curiosity to get my interest as I'm a fan of stories where the MC has difficult odds to overcome.
Cover: I assume it's a commisioned stock image, but the cover image doesn't really match either the synopsis or title of the story. One that would rouse despair or awe. The cover art of Destroying My Own Novel, another novel on the site is a much better match for the synopsis and title. If this is just a hobby, feel free to disregard but if the author is working to commercialize this story or entering any contests with cash prizes, the cover will play a huge role in attracting views. Covers that are copyrighted that the creator doesn't pay for using get disqualified no matter how good the story is.
Content: Short chapters are good to attract viewers who are unsure and an action scene is a decent attention grabber, except it is odd considering what follows is the appointment of the MC as queen. I'm not even sure what purpose that battle had. In comparison, the 2nd battle in the following chapter had clear purpose and meaning. The description of the MC is too generic for me to properly imagine her appearance (this is fine if there is art available for the character). Is there anything distinctive about the character's appearance to help distinguish her? If not her appearance, perhaps her word choice or mannerisms. Don't let the plot completely dictate the character, let the characters (especially the leads) influence the telling of the story as if they were alive.
