@KN chan ♡ bcs they gave birth to you, gave u their entire life by giving birth and taking care of you, your mother either had her stomach cut or a natural birth, paying extra for a person who doesn't give u sh**, and losing nights of sleep for a person who just walk, eats,sleeps and have fun with their lifes idk abt u but a think they get to say anything and they would stll be in the right just saying thoughh

@KN chan ♡ they deserve the respect because they brought you to this world. *I didn't ask to be born*, well you're already here and gotta suck it up. If they are bad parents (abuse you or let others abuse you and don't do anything about it), then they don't deserve the respect, but if you think that because they did not give you everything you ever wanted is enough to not respect them, you are wrong. I don't know what makes you say this, but parents have it hard enough as it is, and you will realise it once you have your own kids, and kids do deserve respect, but do not think that means your parents can't put limits, even if you are an adult, if it's their home it's their rules. You kinda deserve respect, but at the same time you get this respect by respecting your parents first and following their rules, you do not get respect just by being their child.

Sadly, some parents (especially oriential Asian) have this idea of children being dependable servants simply because you were made and provided for growing up. In extreme cases, they expect you to be their insurance (you take care of them when they are unable

Do your parents truly do nothing that made you happy?

Do they always take you for granted?

 

There is a passage in scripture, parents don't provoke your children (if they happen to be believers, you can ask them to please give that passage serious consideration and note you feel provoked in their treatment of you)
