If you saw an event being foreshadowed that you didn't like, why stick around... that's nonsense. I don't read a manga, and see that it's going yaoi, and decide to stick around and complain about the yaoi inserts 😂

most yaoi mangas you could tell is yaoi just by looking at the cover. if you go into them maybe you're just into it? 
whereas most mangas have drama, be it small part or big. how it will be received is dependant on how it is presented, in this case it was sh** imo, just like your comparison.
