Y'all need to look from a perspective of someone in a dystopian world where this town is arguably the only civilized place in South Korea, they are in a extremely difficult time where death isn't that big of a deal as well as killing someone, ofc they would vote to kill him since such small things mean so much, they've built this comunity around these rules and breaking them would be like being a war criminal here, since it's not a city or sum, those small rules mean much. Speaking of those rules are the only things keeping them intact with their humanity, something to follow, something to look forward to, it gives the impression that none of "this" is happening and they are a normal civilization. Like how we don't steal, don't kill, don't hurt another (at least according to most laws) it's the same as them, laws and rules made humanity to as it is (even tho it isn't prefect it's still ours to care for) so rules for them made the comunity. It's also said in the start that death is not the end for them. Killing is hard for us cuz we're under the impression that it's the end, for them it's easier it's kinda the same as in alnst how ivantill kiss scene would be sa in here, but normal in there for the world they live in. Yes killing is wrong but put ur self in their shoes (holy yap

@IHEARTWOMEN preach 🙌 for me it's more about the fact that he beat the poor man to death, i guess it's a way of setting an example but i think you can still do that with a more humane method, i guess.
