About the peridot necklace
Carcel thought that Ines still loved Emiliano because she gave him the peridot pendant again. However, Emiliano explained that the pendant Carcel had was only an imitation, one he had crafted himself. He hadn’t expected Ines to ever find it, but she did, and to him, it was a sign that she remembered him.
Emiliano reassured Carcel that he and Ines could never see each other again; the pain of what happened to their child would be too much for them to bear. He said he had already forgiven her, insisting it wasn’t her fault but his because he didn’t have the means to protect them in that life. Emiliano wants Ines to let go of their past and finally find peace. He wants Carcel to convey that message to Ines and to tell her that Luca was a pure soul and was simply spared from sufferings and he doesn’t resent her for what she did. Then, Emiliano gave the chain necklace he bought in this life so that he can give it back to Ines for the necklace they had to sell during the 3rd life because they were poor at that time.
Emiliano convinced Carcel to stay by Ines side if he truly loves her.
Carcel realized that his assumption that Ines’ still love Emiliano is wrong. Motivated by this, Carcel decides to return to Ines
