I'm I the only one that's confused on why he's afraid of fire since he wasn't even there? His trauma to me makes no sense......

@Arwen Even if he wasn't there, he was told how they passed, so it isn't hard for him to picture their pain and suffering as they died. That's what scares him, hence the nightmares and trauma.
