@Nagi I hate Griffith. I don't hate him for sacrificing the band of the hawk in order to be able to achieve his dream. Achieving his dream would have been impossible without this sacrifice since his body was crippled for life. Not all humans would sacrifice what is dear to them for their dream but some definitely would. And that makes them bad people. It makes you a bad person if you prioritize your own desire over the lives of many who have dreams and hopes of their own. It is selfish and reproachable but at the same time understandable. At least I understand his reason for making that sacrifice. He lived solely for his dream after all. I mostly hate him for raping a woman knowing that she is pregnant and dealing irreversible damage to the fetus. It doesn't matter who the woman is. He had no reason to do this to Casca or anyone else. It was in no way beneficial to him. Why bring up Casca's role or her wish to be Griffith's sword in correlation to this!? Casca wished to be Griffith's sword in battle and be useful to him. And she was! Up to the point where she was betrayed and raped by him! Being “his sword” does not equal being his slave but means being his aide! You must be sick in the head for saying that she should have to wordlessly endure whatever Griffith chooses to use her for, knowing he violated her. This is what broke her! Don't talk about analysing characters when YOU are the one who very clearly has no understanding of these characters. So, yes, I hate Griffith for being a rapist who chose his ambition over his comrades and for causing pain to Guts and Casca. These are all valid reasons to hate him! Edit: I might have misunderstood your point concerning Casca (I really hope so). It is true that she wanted to be Griffith's sword which means to fight for his will. Even if his will is to sacrifice everyone in the Band of the Hawk. However, bringing that up is a pointless argument, since she is only one member of the group that was sacrificed. Even if that were to justify sacrificing her alone, the same cannot be said for everyone else including Guts who left the Band of the Hawk. Moreover, Casca would not have wished any harm upon her unborn child or boyfriend.
