Cause I don't mind poly relationships, they're adorable since everyone loves each other equally, but with harem it always feels like a pervert's fantasy of every single woman in the world falling for the most boring undeserving guy ever, and fighting each other like animals.
The women in harem always serve only two purposes, to be sexualized every panel they appear in, and to fight with other women for the mc. Those are their only character traits. (And well, being biologically female, it has always made me feel disgusted whenever I came across such a story.)
