I am truly starting to think this gained more popularity that author originally intended and they decided to sell out and make it a standard coming of age story and they will write it off as just yuri bait.
I could see the ending being some they part ways cause she signs a record deal then cut forward 10 years she is super famous and there is her old friend at her show cause she believed In her and stayed her fan.
