I don't think you are a good judge of peoples personality,  you see from the beginning xinlu has been suspicious and his actions doesn't look since,  I'm not sure what's going on exactly but he has a background that we will find later hopefully. So to answer your question 
we hate him cus 
1)he is suspicious and we think he is 2 faced person 
2)is some kind of triangle story and we definitely don't want him to be in a relationship with our guy
3)he is cringe af
