She tells Seria to turn herself in to collect the bounty on her head. To avoid execution Seria should ask for a priest and claim she knows where the original Bible is hidden.

Leblaine says it’s in the Empress’s secret library, knowing this information is valuable enough to save Seria’s life and cause trouble between powerful groups. Seria is deeply moved that Leblaine values her so much and agrees to the plan. Before leaving Seria asks Leblaine to go away and not come back because she intends to deal with Jacob herself. Leblaine listens and leaves. Afterward, Jacob is killed and Seria escapes the castle. A few days later, Leblaine receives a “Children’s Day gift” a bag of 30,000 francs, which turns out to be Seria’s bounty money.

LeBlaine secretly goes into the greenhouse when no one is around. She digs up soil under some young trees and finds hidden money. This money was buried there by a friend of Seria, who disguised themselves as a gardener. LeBlaine feels happy because this money will help her plan to rescue Seria. She knows the Duke is also searching for the same “customer,” so her plan is to quietly pass information from the Duke to Seria.

Soon after, maids find LeBlaine and tell her she must attend an important meeting. It turns out she is being officially introduced as part of the Duke’s family. The maids dress her up beautifully in fancy clothes and jewelry. Although she looks very pretty, she feels nervous when entering the room full of powerful nobles. The Duke looks especially impressive and intimidating. During the meeting, the Duke announces her full name as “LeBlaine Risette Dubbled.” The middle name “Risette” was the name of the late Duchess, which shocks everyone. This means the Duke is treating LeBlaine like his real daughter with full rights. The nobles strongly object because she is adopted and not of noble blood. LeBlaine feels embarrassed and overwhelmed, wishing for a quiet life instead.
