I feel like yall don't even know how racist you're being while trying not to be. I am NOT American and I can't judge without ever stepping a foot there, but I'm on social media as we all are and I see that youre so afraid to be seen as racist that that it gets to a point where you literally are, idk how to give examples but when you are too offended to grt called the n word if you were black and it's passed to you if you were white that it is very offensive to even say it even though that slavery and racism supposedly ended years ago, the weirdest thing is yall be acting like it doesn't even exist anymore like cant you just accept it and move on? most of yall are racist af without even meaning to like omg (ignore my broken grammar pls)

@ahjussislittleslut Its not wrong if youre someone who is mad about this, but being deeply offended? I'm not trying to say that this was totally okay when I have no idea about how it is but like racism is literally everywhere.

@ahjussislittleslut Firstly, I don't agree with how harshly the author is being cancelled. I think the situation could have been handled better, but the criticism itself was justified. It doesn't matter how many years have passed since slavery ended. We remember it to honor the people who were enslaved—those who were brut@lized, r@ped, degr@ded, be@ten, mur-dered, and treated worse than animals. The freedom we have today exists because enslaved people and countless others fought for it. That's why, when a story is set during such a painful period, it should be handled with care. There was no white hero who single-handedly freed the slaves, and no enslaved person would proudly or confidently say, "I'm a slave." That's where the uproar comes from. That brings me to your statement: "when you are too offended to get called the "N" word if you were black." If you understand the history of that word, you'd know why many Black people, especially when it's said by a white person, find it deeply offensive. It was used to degrade, dehumanize, and humiliate us. We were the ones that reclaimed the word and somewhat glorified it, that doesn't erase its history or make it acceptable for everyone to use. Refusing to acknowledge or respect that comes across as either ignorance or racist. Just because slavery happened centuries ago doesn't erase what was done. We remember it not to stay stuck in the past, but to honor those who suffered and to ensure that history—even in fiction—is treated with the respect it deserves.
@cutiee_xx I already said I was never taught about this, i also didn't say that it happening centuries ago made it fine to talk about now I only meant that the hate for this fic was very racist from my opinion and that includes the things I said about that a curse being very offensive still to this day, now I think was wrong about that part becauce thinknig about it now it might be just a lot worse back then from what I imagined (my apologies) I just thought about it like that because as an Egyptian we dont have any hate towards any race, I personally never even took any "racist" joke seriously from any foreign just becuuse how I was raised. America is all we all bleed red this and wtv that and I thought it's very silly and contradictory because people, again, very offended by the tiniest things like I see a woman of color on my fyp writing an essay about how she walked down the street and some old white woman just stared at her I thought she was too sensitive and the people who were standing with her were too woke or wtv butI will be very honest with you since I think about this frequently I told myself that I might be wrong because there might be people who are still very dumb and childish to be racist to this day and that it's everywhere but literally just under the surface and whenever i try to think about it more the worse it gets its so sad but like cmon the hate on this fic was too f**g much that it got cancelled like there's a lot of dumb s*t out the internet and yall are sooo mad about this? (I apologise again because I didn't mean to say anything inappropriate or offensive anyhow)

@ahjussislittleslut Firstly, I wasn't trying to come at you. My previous comment was mainly centered on why the N-word is so sensitive, and you're absolutely entitled to feel the way you do especially in regards to this story. I'm a Black woman, and sometimes I see people call things racist when they really aren't. I believe a lot of the backlash against Jaxx came from the Wetsand fandom (TJ stans vs JO stans). Many people just followed the "narrative", and if you ask them why they're offended, they can only say, "It's racist" or "It's offensive," without giving any depth of why. A lot of them have never taken the time to learn about slavery or racism to be so judgemental they're simply following the crowd. That said, there are also people, myself included, who "genuinely" felt the story was too sensitive. I never wanted the author or story cancelled; I just decided it wasn't something I was going to read. Anyway, I respect your opinion. I had just say to be careful when discussing topics like racism or slavery because people can easily misunderstand your point. All love. ♥
