@Rimuru tempest2 Not controlled. He made poor choices to increase his power and they fuc*** with his brain and memories. His sanity has been questionable for some time.

There's also the issue is that, while at one point at least he loved MC's mother, he never seems to have given a single sh** about MC in MC's entire life. To me, it seems the pregnancy was a good reason to make a lover a wife and nothing more than that.
