This is such a SWEET family! None of this competition and backbiting some heirs do!

@Galactic Navy Officer Yeah... this such a breath of fresh air... really nice compared to 90% of the manga and manhwa i read where everyone turns into psychotic family members and want to kill each other for whatever scraps of power are left. It's nauseating. The only path for humanity is cooperation, not darwinism!
@B P (Ult1m4) I also see it as the father of the family being a pathetic waste, no matter how good a fighter, magician, or politician is. If you can't bother to be involved in and control your own household, what kind of a piece of sh** are you?

(I may be biased from overhearing my parents arguing over my mother showing blatant and frequent favoritism to my sister.)

(Sis wasn't having it, btw. She knew that kind of thing was sh**, and stood up for me against mother's golden child/scapegoat nonsense.)
@Galactic Navy Officer I see... my condolences for that type of family drama. All families are dysfuntional more or less in my experience, you can't escape stuff like that.

And yeah, the father is too much of a wet noodle. He doesn't seem to be capable of standing up for himself against his father-in-law. I mean, even if gramps is a higher noble, there are things regarding family that are too important to ignore... but maybe he is being overworked and has no time to handle family drama and just chooses the least path of resistance instead. But i could totally see him allowing to let go of his kids (adoption) from his late wife, just because gramps said so... it's very frustrating in that regard.
