This is so interesting! I now have a theory that maybe the magical girls and fiends are working on the same principle but for some reason the fiends can't turn back?
Mainly cause it is said that the magical girls heal with life force too(could be a general thing?) But we also know that they get tired after transforming(maybe that's their lifeforce draining while transformed)
We also know that the blue-eye magical boy was going to get turned into a fiend(implied?) by the ice fiend when ice fiend thought that he had enough power to see him. Maybe both magical girls/boys and potential fiends have strong magical power(was that the unit in chap 2 or smt?) And the difference is if a fiend realised and exploits it or if the individual wants to protect someone/thing and "blossom". But then it doesn't explain "the first fiend" or like shade/alice didn't meet another fiend before turning?
Maybe it's even a self-preservation vs protecting others thing? But then that it doesn't make sense for shade and alice(the guy who got stuck in the mirror).
Anyway I'll still follow up on this so I can eventually get the answer! (Hopefully it's explained and the relationship of ice fiend and shade too)
