You know how... when you copy and paste something from Google translate. And it's a very rough translation that comes off like gibberish or a synonym to another word that leads you to be confused?
Well that reminds me of this, part of what makes a translator great is their ability to take words and paragraphs that have nuance's in their meaning from Korean pop culture and make it digestible for another foreign language is no easy feat and it's something that we don't appreciate enough on here.
With that being said, I'm sorry that the translator was attacked and threatened - but at the same time it's like you had a copy of the mood and the tone from chapter 1 - and when I used to translate subtitles for the deaf into srt files I always made an effort to take that rough translation and fit what was going on in the current scene to make it make sense. I think people were mad that it seemed like "a lazy translate" or "someone who was not passionate" about this series was in charge. And I think we should be more understanding that ppl should not rush translations just to keep up with a schedule - take the time to get text and fonts right, look at panels, make the translation accurate but understandable, how would the character say this line? Those are the questions a translator should think about & they should be able to handle constructive criticism.
So yeah, the art looks great - but I will probably look elsewhere for this series translation bubbles cause yeah... It's...mmm
