There is definitely something fishy with Eunbi, about her involvement with the accident. His friend pointed it out too in the hospital like how the accident was reported late & the person who reported was a male but she claimed that she saw it herself & was a witness of the accident, why didn't she report?
Going back to chapter 2-3, the person who hit him looked young (I maybe wrong) but the person she claimed and got him arrested was a middle aged man.
And to think about it who got the most benefit by that whole accident is her and if he didn't refuse then she could have ended up marrying him by emotional blackmail and gaslighting.
And his mother is another level evil yet idiotic women who would happily let it all happen.
