He just benefitted from Dan's misery, and Dan signed these documents because he needed them. THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE HAD CONSENT TO ALL THE RELATIONSHIPS THEY HAD, HE JUST SUFFERED THEM BECAUSE HE FELT HE HAD NO CHOICE
