Comment on ChapterHikaru ga Shinda Natsu - Chapter 3
How can you read this and talk about it being a bl, it's not even a romance. Okay that "thing" is in a boy's body and he "likes" another boy but it's still not a human, can you really qualify it a bl ?
And for sure yoshiki likes hikari but is scared of that "hikaru" monster
I like healthy relationships and yaoi is just a mess 😭 but i still read it. Any green bl for me ?

@Lonely_ass_bish Well first of all were in chapter 3. They're both still getting their heads around their respective positions. I imagine it's gonna take a while for the romance to blossom if it ever does. Theres definitley many complicated emotions between them, love (whether romantic or not) seems to be a big centre point of this manga. Like can he fall in love with this thing thats in the form of his dead bestie? Fear is definitley a part of the mesh of emotions but its not as simple as 'hes scared of the monster'. Theres a lot of nuance here, if youre not able to digest it, this might not be the manga for you since their complex relationship is a key part of this manga. Also although he's not human... his form is that of a humanoid boy. His memories are of being a boy. To me it's not much different to like a werewolf or other supernatural beings. It seems to be a being capable of love.
@Lonely_ass_bish hey so this is literally bl ..
@Quack sorry but for me it takes more than a boy's shell to call it bl.

Yeah we can call it bl bcs his childhood friend were in move with him and he reciprocate i can get it. But now i find it more psychological i don't really want to label this "romance" or "bl" cause it's more than just that.

Its not just two friends who love each other it's Can the human mind accept a soul change on a non-human level just because the appearance is that of someone you love?
It's not that i don't think it'a bl just for me it's more than that
