I read the novel. It's true, that there was a slight variation between the novel and in this chapter but this wasn't bad actually. In the novel, lize pleaded to edith why she had done that to them, why she had betrayed them but in this chapter Lize stayed silent and didn't do anything. Also one other variation was that linian the aide was supposed to help edith clear her name but that is fine since other supporting characters like the in laws and the princess took her side.
