I mean they're basically two sides of the same coin. It's just that one got Bored of humanity and the other got bored of being a Vampire
Kou barely even knows Kiku and hates her for manipulating Mahiru. He's not in love with her. But the implication here is that Kou may have suddenly realized love for Nazuna.
