Y'all like it or not but he's obviously the mc, no matter how shi*** of a person he is or was, the author will always find a way to make the readers sympathize for him, like it's just every manga with toxic/manipulative MC troops. Like I'm partly glad it's a work of fiction which will never stand a chance irl but sometimes I ponder if we are gradually normalising this shii especially in the bl community

In this BL community, some plots and tropes are way too much toxic and not enough redemption. Dare I say mostly in manhwa. That's why I love my good old Danmei/Xianxia. Guys be repenting for hundreds of years The perks of immortality I guess.
I'm curious to see how Jaehyuk's redemption will go For me it's not much about YeonOh forgiving him but him realizing what a piece of sh** he was.
BJ Alex had one of the best redemption arc out there fr So I have high expectations for Jaehyuk.

@Bui.lover ngl i already dropped that shítty manhwa called jinx cus i couldn't stand that bítch Joo Jaekyung. Don't get me wrong, I have read far too many mangas that have far much more strange and toxic(dare I say even crazier) MCs but Jaekyung for some reason pis*** me off alot more, everything about his personality is awful and strange, there's not one single likeable thing about that guy. His character is awfully written and I'm still taken aback by how much popularity it garnered in the bl community. Sure bj alex ran so jinx could walk but ig the author's art style also significantly developed alot over the years so good for her but also like just whyyy, why jaekyung as a character need to ever exist, his redemption arc and character development would just annoy the shii out of me bc no matter how good of a person he would turn out to be, knowing what he did and the scum he used to be, it would still annoy the shii out of me. I never heard anyone say this but he kinda reminds me of those "Alpha podcast Andrew tate" type of guys, yk the very annoying narcissistic type of guys with the brain cell of a 5 year old child??yeah. Idk I never hated any character this bad, in my personal opinion, he's the worst character ever written.
