She didn't just change a few things and improved her character, she is an entirely different human inside that body.
Imagine that Amber Heard dies and a super nice, adorable, friendly, good woman possesses her body.
For every single one of us, the new Amber won't be seen instantly as a magnificent woman just cuz she changed in a few days. We know she's a liar, manipulative, crazy, high on drugs, etc, so we might feel like she's faking it first, then that she's trying to get something from us, then that something must be going on, and then, after months of seeing the new her we would all begin to open up and start treating her as the good woman she is now.
So yeah, you can't expect everyone to instantly love her or be nice to her or to expect the same treatment they gave her before.
You can't be all "Ah you treated this woman so bad before and now you want her?!" well... Yeah, they didn't like the old FL but of course, they love, respect, and cherish the new one.
