It seems that Irkala wants to end the world or take the human world for herself since she is like the g** of the underworld and she is twin sister of goddess Ishtar whom the empire worshipped. And Ryan is said to be the second son of Goddess Ishtar (I'm not 100% sure about the last point 🤔)
