I don't think Cecily is cheating, I think she's cross-dressing😭😭maybe to feel safer travelling alone or maybe she's interested in a male-dominated field (hunting or learning the sword) and doesn't want to draw attention to herself. She probably smells like men's perfume because her instructor is a man or she uses men's perfume to further disguise herself.
