I feel so bad for him because of the way he was raised, he wasn't allowed to love freely or he would have his loved ones taken from him. I get it. BUT you went about it so wrong. You dismissed Rael to be another person who just wants to be queen. You love her but didn't trust her to share your burdens and be vulnerable with her. This wouldn't have worked regardless. Love isn't everything.
