@char Jo literally forces himself on a man who obviously loves another. He first guilt tripped Ian with the broken fingers situation to make friends with him and then threw a tantrum because "his friend" was sleeping with someone else. Joseph cannot be better because he does not accept the real Ian with his lifestyle, shortcomings and addictions. Yeah, he's a good character but not a match for the main character...

@iu  so now asking for being friends is guilt tripping? And when did he throw "tantrum", he was just shocked and disappointed coz he had feelings for Ian. And As far as I remember, he handled it very well. And what's with he doesn't accept real Ian, he doesn't even know real Ian that well too. People behaves differently with everyone , and if someone is trying to show you better version of yourself, I see nth wrong with that. Even that version is theirs version.
Like you said he is a good character, so let's not butcher him over exaggerating just coz you think he isn't match for the mc.
