I tend to act according to my emotion so if ever I am in that situation I feel like I can't stay doing nothing, I might end up confronting the duke about how toxic he become. They're all sick, I'm sorry duke I know you suffered but abusing your son because he looks like your toxic father I'm out. Lucian is innocent, he might be wandering why he got abused or why you treat him like that. 
The author really got me, well I hate abusive character because I got physically, sexually and emotionally abused by my father and I FUCKINGGG HATE HIM HAAAAAA and I don't think I can forgive him
