so basically due to his eye colour his dad thought his mom was having an affair
but she wasnt and she truly loved him
so ash chose to "love who she loves instead of hating them", which means he cldnt hate his dad for leaving his mum
the picture, which karylyle bought to give to ash before they broke up, was the picture of her. Apparently it was painted when she met his dad...😪
and then terrorism occured and she pushed ash out of harm's way to sacrifice herself for him, so she passed away
and his dad abandoned him even after her death(stupid mfing dad)
ok but im unsure of the identity of the guy who was with them when the terrorism occured
i hope she didnt cheat on his dad with that dude...
Because of his eyes His dad thought his mum was cheating on him with the guy who painted the drawing but in reality his mum really loved his dad and the painting was made when she was looking at Ash's dad but Ash didnt want to hate his dad because his mum loved his dad a lot and his mum died when a terrorist attack occured and his mum got hit and died but the painter guy saved ash.
She didn't cheat on his father. The guy she met by chance on the street was the author of this painting, Sir Gordon. He had loved her all his life, but because he was a nobleman, he had to stick to his duties and could not marry Sophia. At the same time Sophia met Shane, Ash's father, and fell in love with him and later married him. Sir Gordon also moved on with his life, but he never forgot her.
when he was young his mom owned a painting and the muse was the man she loved. his dad (her husband) thought she had an affair with that man which is why ash has one eye her color and one eye the other man's color (anyway its not the husband's i think his eyes are brown. He didn't like that she hung that painting cuz it made him jealous. To her the painting just represents a feeling and that he was the one she loved now (although i still suspect that ash is the other man's child so iunno). anyway ash understood the concept of love through his mom and that painting and wanted to be like her, to treat the person he loves like she does, kindly and with a smile (he was probably too young to understand cheating). One day they went to buy art supplies and ran into that man, there was a terrorist attack and some unknown events happened. The man (who he doesn't understand is his possibly dad, come on we know it is) protects ash because he is the son of the woman he loves, while the mom protects them both because she loved them both. He sees that as the ultimate act of love, which is sacrifice. Anyway she died and her widowed husband abandoned him (not sure about his sister, seems she's the one that provided for him while maybe that dad provided for her). Ash wants, desperately, to find that painting because it belonged to his mom and it was the motif for love in his life. The husband sold it after she died and he didn't know where it had been sold to because he could never find it (it was bought by his mom's old lover is most of our guess). And that's about it.
And also, the terrorist attack ties in with the chapter where Karlyle and Ash watched a movie. Karlyle said he would die trying to save the one he loved, and Ash said they would rather die with them.
