This kids are being used as tools, and yet they still don't realize it. I'm not gonna judge, because i don't know this worlds current situation. But if I were in their shoes, I will run away from such a toxic environment and find a place to settle down— maybe another country, if it amounts to that.
Based on how the story is set, there will be guilds like, adventurer's guild, merchant's guild, etc. With them being a hero, they most likely possess ability that surpasses that of an average human. So I doubt it they'll have troubles feeding themselves.
