Comment by idk anymore on Hwang Young's Misery - Chapter 22

I love the way this story carries itself. I love the process of manipulation it shows, and the way it shows how the mc's thought process slowly changes. I like that it doesn't have exhausting amounts of sa, for the "hotness" factor as many misuse the incorporation of sa in their works, adding it, but not building or developing the character off of it. Besides that and back to my point, the way the author goes about the mc's emotions captivates me. They show the way he is slowly going a bit crazy, how nervous he gets when he thinks Dohyuk is on to him, how he turns away the hand that reached out to help him, how he gets angry at himself for not taking the hand in front of him, how he is slowly falling victim to Dohyuk's tactics. It is invigorating, but also makes me uncomfortable(as it should! psychologicals are tagged psychological for a reason!!)  My current thought is though, does Dohyuk have a clear reason behind his obsession? Perhaps I do not truly know enough to call it an obsession, but it seems like one, so I'll call it how I see it. Is he a sick and twisted person by nature, is there perhaps a sad story from his past, or does he just take his "role" too seriously? If it is the last, why does he feel the need to take on this role? Has he become obsessed with a work of fiction? Is he unstable, unable to differentiate fiction from reality? What is the reason?
