@Partypartyyeah If I were Evelyn, I would also accept the gift anyway. I mean there's a reason I got it and a reason to accept it. Unfortunately evelyn was too involved with the duke, and everything got messy. She's not innocent and neither is anastasia. In case you forgot Anastasia cheated too, publicly, now she even tried to kill her. The person we should blame the most is the duke, obviously, if only he have at least a little bit of respect for her.

@Pie it's even sugar coated when you say it like that. The Duke watched her being maltreated by servants , told her she deserves her parents suicide,made a decision that lead to death of her lover (tho in my opinion I'm sure they were a little over friends). Ignored her in public if Anastasia were even a little weaker she would have died . If she was truly wicked things would be alot worst . If she was physically strong she would have committed alot of murder meaningless or not .
@Pie she cheated?Why did that happen?He was like a day of hope for her to stay alive unlike with Evelyn she can chose not to but still acted like a mistress,my main point is how author is actually coating her as a righteous person,i hate both families but liked duke as a person bi*** wt?I sympathize with mc but sc*** her up. These are 2 diff situations she could choose anyone other than duke ,but it's not like that for mc,if it weren't for sergey,she would have died without feeling being loved
