@THE uncle the Mc knows he is treated badly, but still finds it hard to detach himself and end his relationship with the friends, he knows its toxic but he still continues to do so.
He happily does most things to make the friend happy so we cant all blame the friend for using him while the one being used knows it, they are both wrong in different ways but wrong still
