Reed is therry but in the 100 ( or 101, I am not sure) timeline. This terry is supposed to be the 17 th timeline terry but actually is the 117th version.

In every timeline except this ailette dies before becoming an adult. She was the only person who was kind to terry and the only variable. That's why terry/ reed becomes obsessed with her and reverses timeline till he finds her. The actual 17th version of terry is dead. Remember when mc went to get a floppy disk from a dungeon? That dungeon was the prison for 117th version of terry. He escapes and ends up in the 17th timeline where mc exists.
