@1 1 I'll tell you simply, the monster isn't smart enough to change direction whenever it wants, so it follows a predetermined path. The protagonist knew he would pass over the bridge, so he blew it up. The monster is vulnerable to water, so as soon as he fell, he died. I hope this was helpful.
