I don't really get what the scandal is here? I don't know how close this guy was to the mc but "This person I used to go to school with behaves differently to how I remember" doesn't feel like that big a deal when neither the current behaviour nor the past behaviour was particularly bad, only different. People change over time, people act differently in a professional setting vs when they're comfortable, etc. Idk, me personally if I read an article saying "This actor had a behaves differently now from how they behaved when they were in school!" my reaction would be "oh... who cares?"

@GRAAAAAA I agree. However, I do remember that Korea, Japan, and China have a much broader field of what is seen as a "scandal" compared to the west.
The one thing universal is that reporters love dramatic clickbait and half truths. So instead of "person matures" it's "dramatic personality change".

I have read that the media in Korea, Japan and China can be extremely cruel as well. To the point that some people are pushed to self ending. Especially Korea seems to have it bad. Some people are no longer even seen as humans, just products...
Not that that doesn't happen in the west also

To go back to this series though, I think they would have needed more for it to be really be able to be made into a scandal
@GRAAAAAA It happened in real life. I do not know if it was bts, txt or smth. The fan was like, they acted so differently when I met them in public (like shops, connivance store or smth). They are less polite and cute than on show. I was like "OK. Interesting". I didn't care. Yet the comment were mixed with people saying it normal for idols to be two-faced, don't meet Yr idols, they are not nice.

People tend to forget about "professionals" vs "casual". Idols are human being too. It more rude to call them rude for not wanting to smile or cater to your need on their DAY OFF.
