@AlysHatter I had kinda thought that Curtis mark her for her protection because she was being attacked by other beast. But mure had no right to force a marking on her. I kinda hope the beast king and Parker kill him or hurt him much more then let Curtis eat him in his snake form.

Chapter 26-27 is where you can see the escalation and bite he does.
In chapter 27 Curtis pins Qingqing to a tree and she thinks Curtis is going to r**3 her just like she did with Muir.
Curtis didn't do it to save her it was so he could force his mark on her. So that he would continue to possess her. In chapter 38 you see a flash back of when he admited that the snake race has a way of marking a female and they can't cancel it. I can go look what chapter it first appeared in but I feel a flash back counts.
