In my opinion it is better to spare some , so they can go back and spread more rumours on how dangerous he is , thus by increasing his demonic power more 

@Moni but they do that then more powerful hero's will come before he's ready

@Red_August according to the premise no one wants to take a completely losing quest in this world 
This will only happen if that king is willing to give some ungodly price for the quest

@Moni well it's the first princess and he also did pîss off the dwarf 2nd princess too so... (I'm more worried abt the 2nd princess than the king)
