@Bl buddy he took a contraceptive, he didn't intend her to raise a child alone and I don't think he expected her to run away. On top of that I don't think he expects his love to be requited because he don't know that she loved him from the beginning.
@Brew But he should know that if he dumps her on the very day of the wedding she would get humiliated and she would be a tool in her father's hand because a divorce lady at historical times have tough times...
@Bl buddy he obviously didn't think it all the way through, I think he just saw it as "we just got married but if she leaves as soon as possible she might be able to still have some dignity left". I just don't think he did it with malicious intent
