I mean, I hate to over analyze fictional relationships that lack context BUT I think it's really hard to not remember it when he said he's sober himself. When it comes to consent, it seems to me like he's being persistent but he'd never ra** him. So if they end up doing it, being it a mistake or not, it'll be just fine probably.
