This manga seems to have gone downhill after the girls showed up. Like, we just spent 2 chapters on them just eating. I liked it better when he was walking around actually doing stuff.

The Manga is actually really different from the Light novel, in the light novel it skips over most of this slice of life stuff, it goes from him getting kicked out to him delivering at the guild to him meeting the girls and then they speed through them teaching him how to be an adventurer.
@lvlHive The author of the LN or the company that is making the manga adaptation probably had the mangaka draw the missing slice of life part to some times add more to the story.
