Boy acting wasn't the problem it was u ignoring & abandoning ur mother if u really wanna help her just get her out of that crummy place make money 2 take care of her & don't let history repeat itself u don't have 2 give up on acting if u really liked it

@재영 태하 세자르 yes, but he's probably thinking that he's too addicted to acting that he would unintentionally abandon her again, so giving up on acting completely is the only sure-fire way he could think of so that he won't repeat his previous life mistakes.

I think he feels guilty he chose to become rich (= acting that ate up all his time as well) and so to avoid any possible distraction from his goal, he doesn't want to do acting.
Another reason is that he's guilty of living so well when he abandoned his mother so he decided to live a different path.
