can she even be called a child? can she even be called a human? if the woman was infertile yet she was able to conceive then maybe it was the head priest's doing
so he had the woman seduce the emperor when he was hurt by the empress's actions and planted a "devil's seedling"(maybe) into the woman's body
the slight glimpse of him stabbing the other person maybe was a sacrifice made to have amaryllis born as the woman's daughter
it could also be that amryllis is innocent but just too spoiled, thus making her conceited and arrogant but i highly doubt that it's true
