I find it interesting that shoujo always motivates the FL to continue and do everything she can for the sake of love but shounen does the same towards a goal not related to love ... Like girls are the ones that should go for it when it comes to the person they like but boys are motivated to achieve some kind of goal outside that branch, for boys only if a love interest forms a part of the objective they have in life, will they do something but normally they would sacrifice everything (even love ) to save the world or whatever lol but girls would sacrifice their world for their love... sml
