@WangXian I I don't remember if it's explained in the novel. But, I think Lan Zhan's like if WWX has money, he'll have freedom/independence, and maybe he won't need (or want to stay with) Lan Zhan anymore. So, he reclaimed the purse because he doesn't want WWX to leave him.
