Ch. 159
Arcian being the supportive and understanding simp he is, he figured Camilla's intentions clearlypepe stickerI bet when Camilla was calling the priests rotten scums it was her inner voice and not Arena who was cursing gif sticker In the next chapter
Spoiler!
Camilla stretched out her hands toward the children, releasing another wave of overwhelming holy energy. Everyone could feel both its incredible power and comforting warmth. When the light finally faded, the miracle became clear. The children's bodies were no longer stiff. They were lying peacefully on their beds, breathing normally and sleeping comfortably for the first time. The terrible pain they had suffered was gone. The priests burst into tears, believing they had witnessed a true miracle. Afterward, the ghost left Camilla's body and praised her. The ghost explained that such divine power could only work through someone with an exceptionally pure soul. Camilla was relieved that the healing had succeeded, but she soon noticed that something was wrong. Instead of feeling weak like she usually did after a possession, intense heat spread through her body. She became dizzy and nauseous. Her legs gave out, and she started to fall. Arcian immediately caught her before she hit the ground. He had been watching her carefully the entire time and instantly realized her condition was serious. Without wasting a second, he used magic and teleported both of them away from the Papal Palace, ignoring the strict ban on magic there because Camilla's safety was far more important.
After Camilla suddenly disappeared with Arcian and used an incredible amount of divine power, the priests were left completely shocked. They believed what they had witnessed was a miracle from God. Many of them called it a saint-level blessing because the power was far beyond anything they had ever seen. Even Daniel, while looking at the peacefully sleeping children who had been saved, was amazed. However, he also became greedy and started wanting Camilla's body for his own plans. Meanwhile, Jayner, who had been left behind when Camilla teleported away, laughed bitterly. He thought it was rude that she disappeared without taking him along. Still, he found her more interesting than ever because she kept surprising everyone. Camilla eventually woke up. Before the ghost could comfort her, Arcian checked Camilla's forehead and was relieved to find that her fever had finally disappeared. He immediately went to get food because she had barely eaten while unconscious. During her illness, Arcian had stayed by her side the entire time, taking care of her. The ghost noticed that Arcian could somehow sense her presence. He couldn't see her clearly, but he could detect her as a dark shadow. Arcian disliked her because he believed she was responsible for Camilla collapsing. Before leaving the room, he gave the ghost a cold warning look.

@Introvert Then
Spoiler!
The ghost then wanted to properly introduce herself. Camilla didn't understand why, since they probably wouldn't meet again. But when the ghost revealed her name as Arena Aguilas, Camilla was shocked because she recognized the name and realized the ghost was someone very important.
At the same time, High Priest Daniel reported to the Emperor of the Fabler Empire that the church's sacred relic had shattered when Camilla touched it. This had never happened before. They discussed how powerful Camilla was and considered that her saint-like divine power may have destroyed the relic. The Emperor admitted that he wanted Camilla because she possessed many rare abilities, including prophecy and extraordinary divine power. The church's original plan had been to use the red relic to weaken her soul and eventually extract it from her body. This method had always worked on others before, but it completely failed on Camilla. The Emperor remembered meeting Camilla and described her as a girl who smiled a lot. However, he was suspicious of her and felt uneasy around her. Even though stealing her soul would be difficult, he still wanted her abilities. Daniel suggested another option: instead of taking her body by force, they could try to bring her over to their side. The Emperor agreed to consider it.
Back at House Sorpel, Camilla was recovering. Arcian insisted on feeding her soup himself, which embarrassed her. Several people in the room disliked how close he was to her, especially Duke Sorpel, but none of them could complain because Arcian had done so much for her. During the week Camilla was unconscious, Arcian never left her side. Her temperature constantly changed because of divine fever. When she became too hot, he used magic to cool her. When she became too cold, he used magic to warm her. He stayed awake and cared for her continuously, even injuring his own hands while trying to protect her during the divine power incident. Although Duke Sorpel was annoyed by Arcian, he couldn't deny how much Arcian cared about Camilla. So he tolerated him for her sake. While eating, Camilla asked Duke Sorpel whether the church officials were still outside. The High Priest and many cardinals had been repeatedly coming to House Sorpel because they wanted to take her back to the church. Camilla was frustrated because they simply refused to give up on her.
Camilla had finally recovered enough to move around, but the temple officials were still waiting outside Duke Sorfel's mansion. They had been staying there for several days because the church had ordered them to bring Camilla back. Duke Sorfel, Ludville, Ravi, and Arcian kept stopping them from meeting her. Jaynor even secretly asked Camilla if he should kill the annoying temple officials, but she quickly refused, even though she admitted they were crossing the line. Camilla then thought about the ghost of Arena Aguilas, the legendary last Saintess. Arena had died at the age of seventy-nine, but her ghost looked like a woman in her twenties because she had been blessed by God and never aged. Camilla realized that everyone was making a huge fuss because it was Arena's divine power that had appeared through her. Arena jokingly said she had always been amazing, making Camilla both annoyed and impressed.
Soon, the head butler Luve rushed in with surprising news. Pope Brisel himself had come to visit. Duke Sorfel became angry instead of honored because he already disliked how the church had been treating Camilla. Everyone around him immediately grabbed their weapons as if they were ready to fight the Pope. Camilla quickly stopped them, deciding that she would meet the Pope herself.
In the reception room, the Pope and the church leaders were extremely nervous because Duke Sorfel, Ludville, Ravi, Arcian, and Jaynor all stood behind Camilla with obvious hostility. The Pope's group could barely relax. After some polite conversation, the church immediately asked Camilla to return with them. They said everything was ready for her become the new Saintess and that many people were waiting for her. Camilla calmly refused. She said she would not accept the title of Saintess. The church leaders were shocked and demanded to know why. The Pope reminded her that becoming a Saintess was God's blessing and a great honor, believing she simply did not understand its importance.

@Introvert So
Spoiler!
Instead of arguing, Camilla said that she had received a revelation from God. Everyone became silent because a revelation was considered God's direct command, something even the Pope could not ignore. She explained that this revelation had been the reason she visited the orphanage earlier. Then Camilla completely changed her expression. She became cold and serious like a judge. Secretly, she was following the ghost Arena's instructions, since Arena knew the hidden crimes committed by the church officials.
Camilla announced that God had shown her that many people inside the church had stained His name through terrible sins. She began exposing them one by one. She accused one priest of stealing donations that were meant for orphanages. The priest immediately froze because it was true. She accused another priest of abusing children, saying he had falsely claimed they were possessed by demons so he could torture them.
Then she looked directly at Cardinal Stela. She revealed that he had SA'ed young priests who trusted him. Some of his victims had become so traumatized that they ended their own lives. Even worse, after their deaths, Cardinal Stela had publicly condemned them as sinners instead of admitting his own crimes. The Pope finally lost his calm and insisted that no such people existed in the church. But Camilla was not finished. She brought up Divine Indulgences, accusing church leaders of selling God's forgiveness in exchange for money. This clearly unsettled the Pope because he knew exactly what she was talking about. Finally, Camilla looked at every guilty church official and declared that God had commanded all of these sinners to be captured and burned alive as punishment for their sins. After delivering this terrifying judgment, she suddenly smiled sweetly again and innocently asked, "So... do I really need to become the Saintess?" The room fell completely silent. No one could answer her. The Pope and the church leaders were left shocked, frightened, and unsure of what to do next.
Autumn arrived, and the weather became cool and pleasant. Zeno and Arena, even though they had not known each other for very long, became good friends. Arena often visited the temple and the Papal Palace to quietly observe what the church was doing. Just as Camilla expected, many church leaders were trying to call her a heretic and accuse her of blasphemy. Cardinal Stella especially wanted her to be judged by the Inquisition. However, Camilla had already predicted this and said she had a plan. She wanted to find something that would prove she was not a heretic once and for all. For five days, the Papal Palace was filled with endless arguments. Some priests insisted Camilla could not be a saint because she had insulted the church, while others defended her by pointing out that she had saved dying children with divine power. Some people also brought up her past, saying she had a violent personality and had once fought another noblewoman in public. Cardinal Stella even claimed that what everyone saw might have been magic instead of divine power because Camilla's brother, Arcian, was a talented mage. Others strongly disagreed, saying magic could never perform such miracles.
