@Armageddon You're right about that but I was thinking from the perspective of my own country in the country where I live civilians can't just own guns To get a gun license you pretty much need to have a related job like being a police officer or be a hunter or something like that other than that if your life is genuinely in danger you can prove it and get one but the thing is proving it means something actually has to happen to you it's not just an excuse for example if you live in the mountains and don’t want to risk getting attacked by wolves or whatever then they might issue it i think where this story takes place really matters

@Grandmotherhunter dead is dead everywhere,your mortality is not dependant on politics or region.you can die anywhere and its never the four legged wolves that gives people problems(we used to feed them,cute forests puppies).
