I think some of y'all are forgetting how dangerous Gu Santong actually is. He might look like a kid, but he’s basically an anomaly with insane power and potential. Zhuo Fan isn’t the type to act out of kindness either, everything he does is calculated.
So him choosing to side with Gu Santong wasn’t “soft,” it was a smart long-term move. If anything, most people in that situation would either try to get Gu Santong on their side too… or avoid him completely.
Zhuo Fan just saw the value early and made the smartest decision, turning someone that powerful into an ally instead of a future enemy.
