It is strange that he had to scrap those facts from Nashid tongue; there was no reason to hide the truth about the concubines. But, I see the point of hiding that Shuraka beheaded his father; he was just 12 at the time. This must be difficult for Tei to digest. I hope Nashid will have more to give to the story; he would have made such an awesome villain; unless he is hiding something, it looks like his role has been downgraded. The romance between him and Larr sounds a bit like cliché: the evil father who takes his own son lover for only G@d knows why, since he can have all the other women in the empire. But ok, we needed a reason to hate the old man - and appreciate Shuraka for slashing his head- and we got it, I suppose.
