I really don't get why the entire guild is lying to their precious guide about their ranks. And before anybody says anything about his assuming they're C-rank, and none of them actually telling him their ranks, LYING BY OMISSION IS STILL LYING. He deserves to know, ESPECIALLY since he's guiding THE WHOLE GUILD. Guiding S-ranks takes a lot more energy--he even commented in an earlier chapter about how he was shocked at the amount of energy it took to guide them.
And the guild leader is the worst so far. Lying about their ranks, saying he's Hoseop's bondage partner without even talking to him about it, and CERTAINLY without asking... just the amount of manipulation is unreal.
Y'all be treating your precious guide like a child who needs to be protected from reality, when in the Esperverse, guides can hold some seriously deranged levels of powers, depending upon who's their partner.

@Noyoki Yeah, i didn't know why our MC hasn't suspected a thing. Sure you can overlook their activities as them just being weird but the moment he guided that long haired guy and how guiding him tires our mc despite him claiming to be "C-Rank" won't he find it sus? Or the fact that Guild leader prevents other members from being simultaneously guided by mc.
To the leader's defence, MC is basically in a den full of hungry and Thirsty(especially the red head) tigers so he is blindfolding our mc. As you mentioned, it is the esperverse and you probably know Profundis, but the MC there knows.
But yes, you are right it is like mc signing a contract with an employer that has hidden details that the employer does not mention and continues to gaslight him. It is deceit and manipulation that keep the mc blind and naive.
They are all espers from the black guild and considered as criminals and they all have a goal : to enter a SS class dungeon to save their former guide who was trapped inside. They are chased by the esper who asked Andante to enter the A class dungeon. Andante is an alias, it's not his true name.
@Mioumiou It's still information that he NEEDS TO KNOW. Guiding S-rank espers that you don't know are S-rank can kill even an S-rank guide, if they're doing it back-to-back, which it's looking like Heseop WILL BE doing.
Any way you look at it, whatever their "justification" is, lying to Heseop IS WRONG OF THEM. Not giving him all the information IS WRONG OF THEM. Manipulating him and treating him like a child who needs to be kept stupid IS WRONG OF THEM.Period.
@Mioumiou their FORMER guide? The one you say shared a bond with adante? He still alive? I thought the one who lost in the dungeon was the mc so adante kill every monster just to look and get the mc back. I saw the spoiler in TikTok. Is it fake/false information???
